Sean “Diddy” Combs demands immediate release from prison
The attorneys of former hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs (56) have apparently requested his immediate release from prison before an appellate court in New York. This was reported by the US industry publication “The Hollywood Reporter”, among others. Sean Combs’ legal team accordingly demanded to overturn his conviction or instruct the judge in his trial to reduce his four-year prison sentence. Why the Attorneys Are Demanding Sean Combs’ Release

Sean Combs was sentenced in October to 50 months in prison for coercion for the purpose of providing companionship services. More serious charges of organized crime and human trafficking were dropped by the jury in the criminal trial against the musician. The prosecution had originally demanded a sentence of more than eleven years. The time spent in pre-trial detention – Sean Combs was arrested in September 2024 – will be credited toward his sentence. His current release date is in spring 2028.
The attorneys of the former music star now claim in their motion to the appellate court in Manhattan, according to the report, that Sean Combs was treated harshly by the judge during sentencing. The judge had “unjustifiably incorporated into the sentence” evidence related to charges of which Combs was acquitted, according to the 56-year-old’s legal representatives. Additional Trials Could Follow
There are also numerous civil lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs. These allege inappropriate advances, assault, and exploitation. Some of the lawsuits also claim, according to media reports, that Combs used his fame and power to silence plaintiffs through threats. Sean Combs denies all allegations against him.
