During a Twitter interaction on February 20, 2025, he officially announced his WWE return to SmackDown which happened a day before New Orleans took over broadcasting duties. The Boss returned to WWE as “The Final Boss” just before fans started guessing about his planned storylines in WWE.

Per WrestleVotes, The Rock could show up on the March 17 Raw Brussels episode and proceed to make a special guest appearance at the March 24 Glasgow event and the next week at the London event on the 31st of the same month.
